5 Ways to Start Your Day Without Caffeine
For about 15 years now, I have had to limit my caffeine because it gives me the most terrible migraines! This wasn’t much of an issue when I was younger, but now that I have 2 kiddos and I start working around
5 Ways to Start your Day without Caffeine
Eat An Apple a Day
This tip was actually given to me by another reader and I am convinced it works! I have never been a huge fan of apples, but each morning when I add one to my routine, I feel a little bolt of energy. Apples are really high in fiber and they take longer to digest, so blood sugar is a bit more stable throughout the day. Next time you feel your energy dwindling, start chewing on an apple and recharge!
Drink Celery Juice
Drinking celery juice has been a growing trend over the past couple of years and some people swear by its ability to give you natural energy. For me, celery juice has done so much in terms of my energy and overall health. I wrote a full blog post about it here, but drinking celery juice right after I wake up has been the best caffeine replacement I have been able to find!
Drink Lemon Water
This is another tip that I read about online and I have definitely seen changes in my energy levels when I have it first thing in the morning. Lemons are full of Vitamin C and in addition to a ton of other positive health benefits, they also help boost natural energy. Adding fresh-squeezed lemon to water is such a simple change that can definitely get you through that morning slump.
Exercise First Thing in the Morning
Everyone knows that working out helps boost natural endorphins and doing it first thing in the morning is the best start to the day! I love my Peloton bike, but there are so many free workouts available online and on YouTube. Even a quick run around the block can give you the energy you need to start your day!
Take your Vitamins
I am still trying to figure out a good mix of vitamins that work for me, but there are so many natural vitamins and supplements out there that can help give you energy without caffeine. I love adding B12 to my daily vitamin routine and I know people often talk about the benefits of Ashwagandha.
I hope some of these ideas will help if you are also trying to limit your caffeine or just trying to have more energy in the mornings! Even though I still sometimes miss my morning cup of joe, these tips have definitely worked for me! Please share any other tips and ideas that have worked for you below! And as always, thanks so much for stopping by!
