My Top 5 Favorite Summer Cocktails
I can’t believe summer is coming to an end! The summer has flown by for me this year, more than ever! I spent so much time traveling, spending time with my kiddos and enjoying the more flexible schedule that summer often provides.
If you have been following along for a bit, you know that I love my cocktails. This summer I tried a few new ones out on my friends and family when they were over at the house. I always like to change it up a bit and cocktails are the perfect place to do just that!
After making my way through all the Pinterest cocktails I could this summer (hey, someone had to do it!), I wanted to share my absolute favorites. These can actually be enjoyed all year round and most are just as delicious without the alcohol. What are some of your favorite summer cocktails? I am definitely willing to try them and share my thoughts! 😉
Top 5 Summer Cocktails
Watermelon Margarita Recipe
This Watermelon Margarita from Simply J&K might be my summer favorite. I am a sucker for a good margarita and this is a new winner. The fresh watermelon and pure lime juice work perfectly together and the simple recipe is ideal for summer parties. If you like your drinks with a bit of a kick, this would also be delicious with some fresh jalapenos.
Limoncello Prosecco Recipe
This Limoncello Prosecco recipe from Downshiftology will transport you to a charming little Italian village. Limoncello is already a summer staple but adding the crisp bubbles from the prosecco is as refreshing as it is delicious. This is also perfect for a crowd because you can make a large batch before your event.
Watermelon Frosé Recipe
Another watermelon favorite this summer was the Watermelon Frosé from The Fashionable Accountant. Nikki is actually a close blogger friend of mine so I was fortunate enough to try this one many times over the summer and I couldn’t get enough! This is the perfect pool drink to help cool you off in the brutal summer heat.
Berry Sangria Recipe
I am not always a huge sangria fan, but my in-laws love it so I had to try this Berry Sangria from Chew Out Loud out this summer. Ya’ll it was so good! The peach nectar was delicious and it was definitely what set it apart from the other sangrias I had tried. It was so refreshing and such a nice balance between the berries and the wine.
Strawberry Mojito Recipe
One of my favorite cocktails, especially during the summer months, is always a fresh mojito. There is something about the combination of muddled mint and lime that is so delicious! This summer I tried the Strawberry Mojito recipe from The Forked Spoon and it was delish! It has the perfect amount of each ingredient and I love her emphasis on using high-quality ingredients.
I hope some of these summer cocktail recipes inspire you to try out some for yourself and cheers to the last few weeks of summer!
