A Weekend with Hilton Orlando
This summer my family and I have made every effort to spend more time together enjoying all of the amazing things Orlando has to offer. We love booking weekend “staycations” because we don’t have to travel far to enjoy an amazing weekend together and have a fantastic vacation experience. There are so many wonderful places to visit right here in our own backyard!
On our most recent staycation, we were invited to stay at Hilton Orlando! We had never stayed at the property before and we were so excited to check it out! Once I told my kiddos about the lazy river and waterslide, they were hooked and couldn’t wait to arrive!
One of my pro-tips for staycations is to check in to your hotel as early as possible on the day of your arrival. You will want to enjoy every last second of your weekend vacation and arriving early will let you do just that! We pulled up to the Hilton Orlando at 10am on Friday morning and the staff was more than happy to park our car and store our luggage for us until our room was ready. We immediately changed into our swimsuits and hit the pool!
My kids were in heaven! The Hilton Orlando pool was absolutely amazing (and huge) and the perfect place for families to relax, swim and play. We spent all weekend floating around the lazy river, sliding down the slide and splashing in their zero-entry pool. My kids also loved playing with the pool tables and in the splash pad!
One of my favorite features of the pool area had to be the quantity of loungers. Oftentimes hotels do not offer enough pool loungers for their guests. Hilton Orlando had pool loungers and cabanas everywhere! If you wanted a bit more privacy, there was a lounger area for that. If you wanted to be in the center of the action, there was a lounger for that. It was so nice to not have to worry about finding a space. They even had loungers all around the lazy river and splash pad so that parents could keep a close eye on the kiddos.
Hilton Orlando offered a few different dining options. We ate pool-side each day at Tropics Pool Bar & Grill for lunch and it was great! The fresh catch sandwich was amazing – especially when paired with a frozen cocktail. We also loved the breakfast buffet each morning in The Bistro and the made-to-order omelets were a perfect start to our day!
The Hilton also does an awesome job at planning daily activities. We loved watching the free-throw competition on the basketball courts and even though we didn’t participate, we got a kick out of the cannonball competition! We were fortunate enough to snag a private cabana on Saturday and the personalized service and shaded area for the kids was the highlight of our trip.
Once dusk hit, the firepits were lit and the s’mores came out. The kids loved sitting by the fire pits and making their s’mores. It was the perfect ending to the day and such a fun experience!
We had such an amazing time visiting the resort and we can’t wait to visit again soon!
Right now Hilton Orlando is offering some amazing vacation packages. Their Swim, Splash, Sleep & Repeat package starts at $100/night! Whether you are looking to book a weekend staycation or coming to town for work or the parks, I highly recommend you consider Hilton Orlando for your stay! You (and the kids) will never want to leave! Comment below if you have any additional questions about Hilton Orlando!
We were invited to stay with Hilton Orlando in exchange for a review of our experience. All opinions, photos and thoughts are my own.
