Old Fashioned {recipe}
We just moved into a new neighborhood a few months ago and we have been really luck to meet some amazing new neighbors. I was so excited when we saw that the neighborhood was throwing a block party for Halloween so that I could meet some of the neighbors we haven’t had a chance to meet yet. It was such an amazing time and the kids had a blast – and so did the adults! My husband decided to make one of his favorite cocktails and I thought it would be a perfect recipe to share. My favorite part of this drink were the ice cubes. Typically we use an ice cube tray that makes one large ice cube so that the drink doesn’t get watered down, but I had this adorable vampire teeth ice cube tray and I was so excited to use it. Here is my husband’s simple and yummy recipe for an Old Fashioned.
Old Fashioned {recipe}
* 1.5 oz of Bourbon
* splash of bitters
* splash of club soda
* sugar cube
* orange slice
* cherry
1. Put the sugar cube in the bottom of a rocks glass and pour a splash of bitters and a splash of club soda on top.
2. Muddle the bitters, club soda and sugar cube together until combined.
3. Add the bourbon and ice. Stir to mix.
4. Add the orange slice and the cherry and enjoy!
Cheers!
