Usually my favorite form of working out is excessive shopping or a lovely stroll downtown while simultaneously carrying an IPA.  That was until I came across Pure Barre.  I would occasionally find myself at the gym bored out of my mind walking on the treadmill while watching Dr. Oz tell the world his latest cure for cellulite.  It took everything I had in me to get myself to the gym and I would be over the moon if I could make it there three times a week.  But the second I found myself at Pure Barre for my first class, I knew there was no turning back.  I was hooked.  It hurt so good.  According to Pure Barre’s website: “Pure Barre is a total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs and burns fat in record-breaking time. Utilizing the ballet barre to perform small isometric movements set to fantastic music, Pure Barre is the fastest, most effective, yet safest way to change your body. Students see results in just 10 classes.”
And they are so right.  I schedule my days now so that I can make it to Pure Barre every day and if I miss a class, I feel guilty and find myself doing dips and squats in between work meetings.  It is very low impact and targets specific muscles that we want tight and toned.  The class works quickly through a series of movements and exercises that will have your muscles shaking like crazy.  If you have a Pure Barre in your area, I highly suggest you drag yourself there and try it out.  I know you will be hooked!
