The Colony Hotel Review
The Colony Hotel Review
When one of my blogger besties, Nikki, reached out to me with the idea of taking a weekend blogger trip to Palm Beach with 2 other bloggers, Emily and Sasha, I
The Colony Hotel is quintessential Palm Beach. As soon as you drive through the palm tree-lined streets and pull up to the adorable pink building, you know you have arrived. Before we could even step through the door we were greeted with glasses of chilled champagne and smiling faces. From that point on, our stay was nothing short of perfection.
The lobby and hallways were lined with the most gorgeous wallpaper and details. Even though the hotel is filled with bold colors and patterns, it has a regal yet understated way of making every space feel comfortable and inviting. Everything is perfectly curated and absolutely beautiful!
The Room
When we originally booked our room, we just booked a standard-size room for four. The photos on the website looked perfect for the four of us and we were excited. When we arrived, we were so thrilled to find out that they actually upgraded us to one of their suites! The suite had 2 double beds in the main bedroom, 2 full bathrooms, 3 HUGE closets and a living room/sitting area with a queen-size pull-out sofa. The room was amazing. It was huge and definitely enough room for 4 girls with a lot of clothes and accessories. I would highly recommend this room for families. I think this would be a perfect space for my hubby and the kids to stay on our next trip to Palm Beach.
The Food
CPB is the restaurant at The Colony and while we didn’t eat dinner there, we did enjoy lunch and brunch at the Bimini Bar and it was amazing! I had the Chicken Cobb Salad and it was a huge portion and so fresh and delicious! We also tried the peel and eat shrimp and the Crab and Avocado toast. Everything we tried was so good and perfect for snacking on by the pool. Everything in the main dining room looked delicious and I can’t wait to try it on our next trip!
The Pool
The Pool has to be one of the cutest hotel pools I have ever seen! Because the hotel is older (1947) the pool is not huge. You aren’t going to see lazy rivers and water slides at this hotel and believe me, you do not need it. The pool area at The Colony is the perfect space to relax, swim and enjoy a cocktail or two. We also loved that since the pool was smaller, we were able to meet so many other hotel guests and locals! The pool is surrounded by lounge chairs with comfortable cushions and large towels. The umbrellas are also perfect for staying shaded on those hot summer days.
The Location
Palm Beach is truly one of the cutest places to travel to, especially for a long weekend, and if you are going to travel to Palm Beach, you will want to stay IN Palm Beach. The Colony Hotel could not be in a more perfect location! You can walk to most restaurants and shops in the area and the beach is a short walk down the street. If you want to venture to somewhere else on the island, the hotel staff will gladly take you anywhere in their complimentary golf cart or car. Once we parked our car for the weekend we didn’t need it again until we headed home!
The Amenities
The Colony Hotel has many events throughout the year. We were able to attend one of their Boozy BBQ’s and it was so much fun! They had live music, activities and a bounce house for the kids and fun drink specials. There are also so many other events like trivia, art gallery openings, weekly yoga and happy hours. If you are looking to spend the day at the beach, their staff will set up chairs, umbrellas and even a cooler full of food and drinks for your visit! If you are looking to relax, the hotel can set up spa services in the privacy of your room and even fill your room with fresh flowers upon your arrival. Traveling with kids? The Colony staff will even arrange a babysitting service. There is truly nothing this hotel can not do!
Final Thoughts
I think it’s pretty obvious that I LOVED The Colony Hotel. Our group had the most amazing time on the property and all of the hotel staff was so accommodating and nice! I would highly recommend staying at The Colony during your next trip to Palm Beach. I did not travel with my husband and kids for this trip, but I can’t wait to return with the family and discover more wonderful things about Palm Beach and The Colony Hotel. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions! A full “Weekend in Palm Beach” guide is coming soon!
