We went on a Disney Cruise!

I am SO excited to share with you that we just got back from our first ever Disney Cruise! We originally had booked a week to Atlantis and after some recent negative reviews about the property, we did a switcharoo and booked a last minute Disney Cruise on the Magic.  It was seriously the best decision ever and I am already looking to book another one! Because we were so last minute and we planned to travel over Spring Break, our options were a bit more limited.  We ended up booking a 5-night cruise out of Miami and the only negative we had was that it wasn’t longer.  We can’t wait to book a 7-night out of Port Canaveral!

I plan on sharing ALL the things about the cruise and I will review our excursions and experiences over the next few weeks.  I did a lot of research before sailing so I will try and share as many things as possible to help any of you that might be looking to book a Disney Cruise for yourself or for your family.

If you have been following along for a bit, you know that we live in Orlando and we are Disney Annual Pass Holders. We love Disney and have been wanting to plan a Disney Cruise for a few years.  I can’t even tell you how much we enjoyed ourselves.  The Magic was clean, the cast members were helpful and kids club was the most amazing and creatively laid out space for the kiddos.  Our itinerary included 2 days at sea, one stop in Cozumel and a stop at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.  Every day was incredible.  The days were filled with fun activities, shows and character sightings.

If given the chance, our kids would have stayed in the kids club the entire cruise! Because of this, the hubby and I were able to get some amazing one-on-one time.  We spent some time up in the adults pool, we had the most relaxing couple’s massage and we enjoyed a fantastic dinner at their adults-only restaurant, Palo.   These experiences were so unique and truly made the vacation.  It was so nice to reconnect while the kids were having a blast crafting, cooking and dancing with their new cruising friends.

Stay tuned for my packing list, most used items, restaurant and spa reviews and highlights from our favorite spot in Cozumel!

Have you been on a Disney Cruise?? I would love to know which ship you went on and how your family enjoyed the trip! If not, are you thinking about booking one? Let me know if you have any questions – I would love to help!
